MS Word Custom Paper Sizes

You may choose from several different properties to alter the size of your printouts. There are four properties that you can change. These properties are called Alignment, Base Size, Margins, Color and Color. You can also add a third property if you intend to make multiple copies of the same document.

Press the right arrow button on the keyboard to open the Customized paper properties dialog box. This button may also be found in the main menu of your printer. There are four options under Alignment: Right Fit, Center, Right Fit, Offset and Home. By choosing one of these four choices you can change the alignment of your custom paper to a different location on your printer.

The “flows” tab has a variety of handy functions including custom page size control, page centering, alignment tools, and justification. To utilize these tools all you need to do is click on them and they will be altered. To change the layouts you need to click on the “link icon”.

Preset Colors – On older printers, you may have to enter manually the desired color for each page. Newer printers let you select a customized size paper from a range of pre-set colors. Click on “color” to open the color palette. A color selection will appear. Click on the appropriate color to change the color you select. Click on the “back” button to return to the color palette.

It should be simple and quick to alter the paper size settings within your printer driver. These tips will show you how to access the settings and options that your printer driver provides. Modifying your paper information setting will help make sure that your documents are of the correct size to fit your computer.

The Print Server dialog box will be opened and will display the following options: Current paper settings, which will display all the custom paper sizes currently in use. Double-click “current paper size” to show the current set of sizes as well as their numbers within the range you desire. The number you choose will determine the size that is the maximum or minimum of your document. If you wish to extend your document, click the “stretch” tab and enter a number between zero and nine.

To update your paper dimensions, click “print” from the main menu and then click print settings. There will be an update dialog box. Click “OK” to change the printer configuration. Next you need to click “print” from the main menu, and then click the print settings tab. Now you will see a new set.

You’ll need to open the Print Server dialog box once more then click the “add button” and enter an amount between 1 and 9, and click “ok.” Before you click the “apply” button, you can modify the values of the current setting. Within a matter of minutes, you will be able to see a list of custom sizes of paper, and they will all be available for your document. If you find this to be too complicated or want to speed up the process and use only one document that has different dimensions, then you can always choose “set number” and select the size that you prefer within the range that you selected in the previous step.
